Title: Administrative Coordinator
The Capital District Gay & Lesbian Community Council (CDGLCC) seeks a full time Administrative Coordinator beginning immediately.
The successful candidate will possess strong administrative skills, including excellent written and verbal communication. Excellent organizational skills and attention to details are a must. Must have the ability to maintain and convey a high degree of confidentiality in regards to donors and clients. Requires experience using personal computers, electronic office systems including e-mail, calendar administration, and Microsoft Office. Accounting software experience a plus. Must have a strong aptitude for various computer programs and databases; a can do attitude; and possess a good sense of humor and be a team player.
Compensation: Salary dependent on qualifications and experience; benefits package includes comprehensive health benefits, paid vacation time, and paid personal time.

Job Description:
The Administrative Coordinator is a crucial member of the staff of the CDGLCC. The Administrative Coordinator provides support to the Executive Director and other professional staff of the CDGLCC.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operation of the office; provide administrative assistant support to the professional staff of the CDGLCC; and assure the smooth functioning of routine office activities.
- Receives visitors and answers the telephone; screens calls and callers; respond to the requests for assistance and service from community members and the CDGLCC Professional Staff, in a timely, professional and efficient manner.
- Handle regular correspondence with donors, community members, and other organizations.
- Enters and proofs correspondence, tabular data, reports, records, articles and other material from rough draft and various other source data and instructions.
- Supervise all major mail projects.
- Function as contact person with outside vendors regarding routine requests and transactions.
- Preparation of bookkeeping vouchers.
- Oversee use and maintenance of all office equipment; keep inventory of and order office supplies as needed.
- Use the FastFund Data Base Management system to input confidential contacts and donation information for the CDGLCC donors.
- Maintains general databases and spreadsheets, hard copy and computerized files, account records, and a variety of other office records such as membership and donor records

- Work in a detail-oriented and organized manner, supporting the major responsibilities of the professional staff.
- Perform as a team player, providing support to not only professional staff, but the Board of Directors and others, as needed.
- Maintain and convey a high degree of confidentiality, particularly with matters regarding donors and clients.
- Communicate in a professional and organized manner with staff, donors and the community.
- Have a strong aptitude for and show an initiative to learn various computer programs and databases.
- Understand and support the mission, goals and objectives of The CDGLCC.
