Official Capital Pride Flag Raising
City Hall, 24 Eagle Street, Albany • Noon
This year we are raising 40 rainbow flags throughout the Capital District to celebrate the 40 years we have been celebrating Pride here at the CDGLCC. The event kicks off with Albany City Hall raising our first flag.

Pride Dinner Night
Participating restaurants: Wolfs Biergarten, Albany; Irish Mist, Troy; Bombers Burrito, Albany & Schenectady; Dale Miller, Albany • 7:30 pm• Cost of your Meal
Come join us for a double delight. You get to enjoy delicious food and drinks from Albany's finest Gay Owned and Operated restaurants and 10% of proceeds from food sales will be donated to the CDGLCC. Come sample some of the best food in the Capital District while donating to your community center that has been serving the area for 40 years!

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 2ND
Interfaith Prayer Service
First Universalist Society of Albany (FUUSA), 405 Washington Avenue, Albany • 7:00 pm • Free
Join together in faith and pride at a special Pride Interfaith Service at FUUSA. The event, sponsored by Advocates for Welcoming Congregations, will include ecumenical worship, music and be followed by a dessert reception. The theme is "Our Song: 40 Years of Spirit & Pride." The musical service will honor the CDGLCC's 40.

Game Night
Fuze Box, 12 Central Avenue, Albany • 7:30 pm
Your hosts Frieda Munchon, Whisky Sour, and Carmie Hope have planned a fun night of games including Musical Chairs, Frieda Says, Frisky Twister, and Match Game with a spin. An assortment of card games and board games will be on hand. Come and win some prizes!

Come to the Romaine Brooks Gallery, the CDGLCC's very own art gallery for their annual Pride show. The gallery features a new show every month to coincide with Albany's popular "First Friday," and, for June, they have a special Pride show planned. You won't want to miss this great exhibit!

LGBTQ Alternative Youth Prom

This year we are celebrating 40 years of pride with our annual A-Prom celebrating its 13th year! A-Prom is a casual, inclusive and welcoming alternative to traditional high school proms. Join several hundred lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth and allies ages 13-19, for an unforgettable night of dancing, socializing, and making new friends in a safe, supportive, non-judgmental atmosphere. A-Prom 2010 promises to be bigger, better, and more badass than ever!! It will feature HomoRadio DJ's Sean McLaughlin and Ryan Smith, as well as DJ Bob Hawley of Electric Blue DJ Service all in tuxes playing our requests; door prizes; all-you-can-eat snacks/soft drinks/bottled water; a free souvenir photo booth; community organization networking tables; Pride buttons/pins/stickers for sale; memento goodie bags to take home and more!

Pride Beach Party

Roller Derby - The Empire Skate Troopers v. The Morristown Madams

Come see Albany's original roller derby team at the Washington Avenue Armory. Pride Mini Golf

The hit event of Pride is back! The Mini-Golf Tournament with prizes and raffles. Pizza, soda and ice cream will be served. Please e-mail capitalpride@cdglcc.org if you plan to attend this event so we can provide Oasis with a head count in advance.

Vintage Pride Potluck Extravaganza
1st Presbyterian Church, Albany • 1:00 pm • Free
The CDGLCC's Vintage Pride program brings LGBT seniors (55 and older) and friends together to celebrate growing gray under the rainbow. Senior health and wellness experts will be present with resources to help seniors age to perfection!

Pride T-Dance/Karaoke/Drag Show

Come join us at ROCKS for a Sunday Back-Deck B-B-Q featuring Happy Hour drink prices! We will have a DJ spinning all your favorite songs (and requests) which should quickly get everyone on the dance floor. To help raise money for the CDGLCC, we will offer a 50/50 raffle!! Make sure to stay after the Tea-Dance for Karaoke with the A-Man from 7pm to 10pm and then followed by the Savage Nites Drag Show at 10pm!!!

Drag Show-Paisley for Brains. A trip through the psychedelic 60s and beyond. Staring Musty Chiffon with musical director Michael Holland on piano. Musty is a master of her material. A panel discussion about building the next 40 years of our community features a conversation among the diverse groups within the LGBT community. Panelists, reflecting a range of experiences, will discuss our many identity intersections and how to embrace what the future holds for the LGBT community.

Rainbow Access Initiative Presents: 2nd Annual Access Awards

Rainbow Access Initiative, the Capital Region's health and human services advocacy group for the LGBT community, presents awards to individuals and agencies providing professional and respectful services to the LGBT community. This year's speaker will be Harvey Makadon, MD, Clinical Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School.

Come down and hear the great sounds of The Bois Acoustic as they host an "Open Jam Night" highlighting local entertainment. The microphone is yours! Sing a song, read poetry, play an instrument, tell a joke-whatever your hidden talent is. You can also choose to sit back and enjoy some of the best local talent in Albany. This event will be hosted by The Bois Acoustic and will benefit the CDGLCC. All proceeds and tips will be donated to the CDGLCC.

Why Should We Care About Hate Crimes?

In his first in-depth discussion of hate crimes, District Attorney Soares will talk about offenses that have occurred in the Capital Region while explaining why hate crimes are a matter of concern to everyone in the community.

Pride and Poetry

Pride and Poetry, co-sponsored by Albany poets, is a poetry reading that features 2 or 3 local queer poets reading from their work. They each read for 15-20 minutes in a celebration of the diversity of our poetic voices. There will also be a short recital of poems by famous queer poets like Frank O'Hara and Allen Ginsburg.

LesBoa: Capital Pride Official All-Girls Party

Pride's Official All-Girl Party featuring DJ Lady Luck. Come support this year's all-girl event. A great chance to hang with your old friends and meet some new ones. Enjoy great dance music and some fantastic drink specials.

This is the warm up to The Big Gay Pride Cruise. Come have a few drinks, organize your group and relax until you have to head over to The Big Gay Pride Cruise. The Pre-Cruise Party will have advance sale tickets for The Big Gay Pride Cruise at $30 each. ROCKS will also have advance sale tickets for The Party Bus at this Pre-Cruise Party. The Pre-Cruise Party will have "happy hour" drink prices for the first hour (8pm till 9pm) along with light food and music!

Suggested Donations
ROCKS has set up a safe way to get you a "round trip" ride to The Big Gay Pride Cruise for only a $5 donation. Advance sale tickets for The Party Bus will be available at ROCKS starting in mid-May during regular business hours. Seating is limited and is based on a first-come-first-served basis. Get your advance sale tickets early to assure a seat on The Party Bus. The Party Bus will board those with advance sale tickets first (10:45 pm) and then offer the seats that are left till they are gone (for a $5 donation). The Party Bus will get you to The Big Gay Pride Cruise dock by 11:30 pm for boarding. The bus will return to ROCKS after the cruise and ROCKS will offer a regular cash bar till 4am. They will also have coffee and light food available to those who return on the Party Bus.

THIS IS THE ONLY BIG GAY CRUISE THIS YEAR…SO ALL ABOARD! The A-Man is about to launch yet another Big Gay Cruise. This cruise is a benefit/fundraiser for the CDGLCC and the AIDS Walk 2010. All proceeds after expenses will be donated to these two wonderful groups. It's a three-hour "Gay Party Cruise" that will offer Karaoke, DJ, and a Fabulous Drag Show. There will also be light hors d'oeuvres, cash bar, hot 50/50 raffle bois, dancing and singing, and music everywhere.This is a 21+ event and EVERYONE must show an ID to board the CRUISE. Bring the family and kids of all ages (sorry, no fur-babies) for a relaxing day in the park featuring an acoustic stage featuring local favorites, field day games, and a LGBT softball tournament: CDGLCC vs. Two Rivers Outdoor Club! Pack a picnic, meet new friends, and enjoy another day of community celebration!

Family Diversity Day

Tours, storytelling and crafts are among the activities on this special day when The Museum invites people from all backgrounds to come together to celebrate the diversity of family life and the communities that we all live in and share. Family Diversity Day has been declared a citywide event by Mayor Jennings this year and will feature outdoor activities in Washington Park including live music.

Life is a Cabaret

Come taste the wine, come hear the band, come blow your… Well, just come out for an evening of cabaret-style entertainment to benefit the CDGLCC…!!!! Come celebrate the Capital District's Great LGBTQ community! This year we are celebrating 40 Years of Pride with the CDGLCC. The parade steps off at noon in Washington Park, at the intersection of State and Sprague Streets. There will be live music, exciting floats, and as always there are sure to be a few surprises! Come and enjoy the parade and then stay with is in Washington park for the annual Capital Pride Festival. See the map to the right for the detailed parade route.

Capital Pride Festival

The festivities on the stage kick off immediately following the Pride Parade. Join us as Tony/Grammy-nominated/winning Superstar Taylor Dayne takes the main stage this year. Also this year will feature performances by international pop star Shannon and the world renowned Big Apple Corps! Eat, drink, and be merry in our food and beverage vendor area and visit our vendor/exhibitor tent. We're planning fun for the whole family, so join us for the celebration rain or shine.
